Third Stone is a surf companies based on the north shore of Oahu. In the past 13 years Third Stone has been pumping out boards for many of Hawaii’s local residence. Founded by Pete Matthews in the 1990’s, Third Stone was started as a way for Pete to surf all day and make boards for his friends. Fifteen years later it has grown into an enterprise that involves many friends and family. Being able to watch young surfers who have been raised on our boards like TJ and Tory Barron has helped us reach national and international levels. The true heart and soul of Third Stone lies in our surfboards. Third Stone is committed to making the best quality and the best suited board for you and your destination. Being located on the north shore provides us with a great proving ground for our shapers and board builders alike. Talented shapers like Tim Barron, Randy Sleigh, Chris Freed and Glenn Minami design boards for the individual and their home break. Our shapers have traveled the world designing and testing there boards in the worlds greatest surf spots with some of the worlds greatest surfers. They have been doing it for more years than most of you groms have been alive. Third Stone is no longer limited to just surfboards, as we have grown into a full clothing line and video production.
