In
the Waialua Sugar Mill:
|
Manufacturing Waialua Chocolate |
Chocolate Factory workers cutting open the Coco Pods. The Beans are removed by hand from the Coco Pods and fermented in wooden barrels. Then left in the drying racks till they are ready. The next step happens in a factory off site. The hills around the
waialua sugar mill are planted with coffee and Coco Trees.I think it
is around 20 acers of chocolate in Waialua. If
you are a resident of Hawaii or a visitor this is a fun and of the beaten
path |
